My sister is expecting and is finding it really hard to get some good infant bedding. She doesn’t know whether she is having a boy or a girl, which is not helping things. She would like to have really bright colors as well as she thinks that whites and pastels are boring and she is having a job finding something like that for a little one, especially in the shops that she can afford to shop at. I think it is nice to have something stimulating rather than just plain colors but because they are not using it for long, it means that they will soon need something new and so it may seem like a waste of money to pay out more than is necessary. I think that it is best to get something cheap and then spend a bit more on the next set of sports bedding which they are likely to use for a long time. I guess it all depends on what your priorities are really and whether you really think that having stimulating colors will be important for your child or whether having something pastel and more relaxing might be the way to go. It is really hard to know until it is born and then it is too late to do much about it.

Games room

I have decided to put a games room in my house. We have a fantastic basement which we use for storing rubbish and I think it would be a great games room. It would be good to have a place where all of the family could be together and keep fit at the same time. My son is really in to basketball so I intend to get an indoor basketball hoop so that he can play inside when the weather is not good. I also plan to get him a new basketball backboard for outside as well. I am planning on getting him a few games tables as well in the room and putting a TV in there without ?Wii-fit? so I can exercise in there too. I think that it will be a great room where we can get some great family time together as well as getting fitter and healthier. It will have double benefits and I just cannot wait to get it sorted out now. I am planning on doing it as a big surprise. My son is going on a school trip soon and I am organizing for it to be done while he is away so that when he comes back I can spring the surprise on him. I just hope that he is as keen on the idea as I am!

Finding a nice Prom dress

I have been looking around for a cheap prom dress and it is turning out to be very difficult. I am having trouble because I have a very curvy figure and therefore can find that some dress designs just make me look very round. I want something which will really flatter my figure and because that sort of cut is not in fashion at the moment, it is proving to be hard to find something. Obviously it needs to be an affordable prom dress as well and for me that is also not that easy, because many dresses are extremely expensive. I am trying to look for sales but I find that they only seem to have very small or very big dresses and nothing in my size. It is getting to be very irritating and I am beginning to wish that I could afford to pay someone to make one. I suppose I could have a go myself but patterns and fabric shops are so rare these days that I would not even know where to go to enquire as to where my nearest one was. I know that all of my well off class mates will look stunning and I just hope that I can too.

Sleeping after baby comes along

I remember that the scariest thing I had when I did my prenatal care classes was all about baby sleeping. They basically warned us that baby could wake every couple of hours through the day and night and take an hour to feed. I didn’t believe it, I couldn’t as I was having twins and it meant that I may not get any sleep at all. I just concentrated on looking after myself properly, getting my birth plan up together and getting the house ready for the new arrivals. Of course when they did arrive sleeping was a complete nightmare, for the first six weeks I was getting between 2 and 4 hours of broken sleep a night, but things did slowly improve and even though they are now 4 years old, I still hardly ever get a full night?s sleep but I am usually just woken for a few minutes thankfully. I do think that perhaps people should appreciate their sleep more and not complain when they can’t sleep as at least they are not being prevented from sleeping. You really do appreciate those nights when you do get a few extra hours sleep if you have been deprived.
